A number of states have flirted with requiring Computer Forensic Experts and E-Discovery Professionals to have private investigator licenses in the past few years despite a 2008 resolution adopted by the American Bar Association against private investigator licensing requirements. The State of Michigan is one of those states that requires a licensed private investigator perform services as follows "(b) "Computer forensics" means the collection, investigation, analysis, and scientific examination of data held on, or retrieved from, computers, computer networks, computer storage media, electronic devices, electronic storage media, or electronic networks, or any combination thereof."
Fortunately, JDA is private investigator licensed by the State of Michigan and is fully prepared to assist in any kind of digital investigation, computer forensics analysis or E-Discovery need you may have.
